Gulasch (Hungarian food) ( กูลาช)

ภาษาไทย

Gulasch is the typical food from Hungary. As in Wikipedia said....
"Goulash is a soup or stew of meat and vegetables, seasoned with paprika and other spices. Originating from the medieval Kingdom of Hungary, goulash is also a popular meal in Central Europe, Scandinavia and Southern Europe. "

For me, who are not real fan of beef disc. This meal is not much appreciate but for cooking trial, I can made for family. However, the result is quite good from member's responding. This times is the first times and lead to another several gulasch meals later.

My today gulasch is not soup but same kind of thick stew that can eat together with other carbohydrate. Pasta is my answer. I can substitute from pasta to rice or bread.

500 g. beef (cut in cube)
1 tbsp. olive oil
300 g. onion (thick slide)
2 clove Chinese garlic
1 fresh chili (or 4-5 drop tabasco)
2 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tsp. paprika power
200 g. tomatoes piece in can or self made
250 ml. beef soup or water
1 tbsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dry majoran
salt and pepper

Method

Pour olive oil in hot pot, put the chunk of beef in, grill and stir fired, put some salt and pepper.
In big pan, put onion, garlic and fresh chili in, stir fired until soft.

Transfer the ingredients and pan to hot pot, put tomato paste in, mixed well.
Pour the soup in, add tomato piece, ground cumin, ground paprika, majoran in and mixed well.

Cover with lid and stream for 1 1/2 - 2 hours until tender (depend on how big of your beef).

Move on the stove, serves hot.!!

with pasta or what ever you likes.

This kind of pasta is going well with gulasch. It's similar feeling with Thai broad nudel that we cook for "Pad See Eew".

Enjoy!!!

Thank you for visiting.
